Inspire Kids Montessori School was founded in 2010 by Ms. Diana Darmawaskita in Ahwatukee Arizona. With a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Operations Management, Ms. Diana discovered her passion for Early Childhood Education and Development, while raising her own two children. Unhappy with the limited quality options for families needing Early Childhood care and after plenty of research, she decided that Montessori was what she was looking for. She left her corporate career as a civil engineer working at Microchip, to become a Montessori teacher. It was then that she discovered her passion for teaching: She truly enjoyed seeing her students grow and learn, at their own pace, through their love of learning, independence and curiosity!

With a firm belief that her community would benefit from a robust and accelerated educational program that emphasizes individualized learning, Ms. Diana opened her first Inspire Kids Montessori campus in Ahwatukee, Arizona in 2010. Very quickly Inspire Kids Montessori gained a reputation throughout the community as a first class Early Educational program due to its proven, high-quality educational standards, individualized lesson plans for each student, enriching musical program, STEM curriculum and much more; which led to the demand for a second campus in the Layton Lakes neighborhood of South Chandler, Arizona, which has been open since January of 2021.

All that has been achieved is accredited to Ms. Diana’s extraordinary vision and her desire to provide young children with a secure, nurturing, and exceptional educational experience. Offering a hands-on world-class Montessori curriculum by incorporating a diverse range of learning programs (including accelerated pathways); Inspire Kids Montessori engages the inquisitive minds of curious children and encourages each student to achieve their fullest potential. Whatever our students’ developmental stage, Inspire Kids Montessori strives to provide a well-rounded program tailored to their independent academic and social-emotional growth.

As the Founder and Executive Director of Inspire Kids Montessori School, Ms. Diana works closely with IKM’s experienced Montessori-trained and certified teachers to ensure the consistent and high-quality delivery of our program objectives. Ms. Diana takes every opportunity to work with the students in their classrooms, which brings her great joy and is incredibly important to her. Ms. Diana aspires to provide IKM students with the unique opportunity to work towards becoming well-rounded individuals by developing their academic skills (math, reading, writing, science and geography), social skills (kindness, grace and courtesy, universal values, personal responsibility, and independence), as well as their soft skills (problem solving, critical thinking, creating new solutions, working on a team within their classroom communities, and mobilizing others to work together towards a common goal).

The biggest reward for Ms. Diana, as an educator, is to see the culmination of our three-year Montessori work cycle coming to fruition with the Kindergarten year being the capstone of the journey. Our Kindergarten students are benefiting immensely from our accelerated and tailored Kindergarten Program, in which they learn to think deeply about a subject, do their own research on STEM projects, express themselves clearly through the written and oral presentations, and put their knowledge to practical applications, not only in their classroom communities but also at home! IKM is thrilled to be able to support our Kindergarten parents, financially, with scholarships from the AZ State Tax-Credit Donation Program. Any family can contribute the state’s predetermined amount in a 100% deductible, “dollar for dollar,” donation to the school which helps to build a robust scholarship fund for the incoming Kindergarten class students and their families.
